Your mother is scared -- and your presence gives her a sense of comfort and peace. Maybe she isn't as comfortable with the other members of the family as she is with you. Perhaps you can talk to them about her fears and give them some suggestions on dealing with your mom. Do they talk to your mom while they're there -- or do they ignore her? Maybe your mom would be less clingy if she felt more comfortable with the other family members.
And if you haven't considered hospice, you really should consider getting
them involved. They can help and provide a lot of support. Hang in there.
You do have to take care of yourself, too. You won't be good for your mom if
you're not healthy yourself.
