I am not sure if what we are experiencing with our Mom is the same -- but her bile duct cancer sounds like it is at the same stage. They also told her no removal of the cancer and she also had some raadiation. The doctors want Mom to just give up -- I can tell -- but she has insisted on fighting it and is on a treatment of chemo (something called 'super gen'). They are even getting a cancer from Mexico now to add -- 'oxy-something'. IT has slowed down the cancer's progression. We have found that if you don't just press the doctors and push them, they will just give up on the patients -- even the well meaning ones. I think they see it as hopeless in the long run and won't try things unless you convince them to do it.
