Bonnie, eating after surgery is so very hard. First of all is your mama on digestive enzymes? If not she should be. Remember that most of her digestive tract has been removed and with out the enzymes your mama will become malnourshied. Second, instead of 3 meals a day it works better if mama is given 6-8 small mini meals. Also look into the scandi shakes, ensure, boost or some type of supplement drink for the added calories. Most patients do pretty good on the chemo regmine for this type of cancer. There are some that don't do that great but most do ok. Her oncologist will give her meds if she does get sick. Just let him know. I don't know any doctors in your area and if you don't get any luck here post on the pancreatic cancer board. There are more people there and PC/ bile duct cancers are treated the same. Hugs Lillie
