Today was my Mom's last radiation treatment. She has been going for the past six weeks. Every day we have been going for treatment, as well as once a week for chemo. She has handled it all very well. Just a little weak and tired, but not too nauseous. Now the hard part - to wait for the tests to see if the tumor has shrunk. How do we keep her spirits ups and still willing to fight. It seems the only thing that keeps her going is my two girls, age 6 and 3. However, they are both getting over colds and can't see her. I know it may seem that I am just rambling on but it has been a very emotional six weeks and we would like to just know if the treatments have helped. Can anyone give me some thoughts to get through this? My mom will be going to the doctor in a week to discuss the next step. It is very comforting to have a place to talk to others in similar situations. Thank you
