Denise, this was going around my kids' school last spring and it's a virus that is not serious. It is related to another childhood disease and now I cannot remember exactly which one - scarlet fever or chicken pox. Anyway, the child gets a rash, fever and a couple other symptoms. It is only serious for a pregnant woman. Anyone who is pregnant shouldn't be exposed. The problem is the kids get the rash AFTER they are contagious so you don't even know they have it when they first get sick. Hope this helps.
