A whipple is a surgery that is done to remove the cancer. In our case dads cancer was in the bile duct and what was removed was the gall bladder, bile duct, duedumn,(sp) and the head of the pancreas. I think it all depends as to where the cancer is located as to what exactly is removed. Hugs Lillie
