My only suggestions is that they start with the strongest Chemo first instead of working their way up. I find the oncologist take the path of least resistance, the chemo with the least side effects instead of the one that will WORK the best. My father started with 5FU and that didn't seem to be effective. They used it because it had the fewest side effects. Now he was too sick to take the tougher chemo after the cancer reoccured. Best bet is take the strongest chemo when they can physically handle it, not when they are weaker.
