After my mom's whipple surgery in March 2001, she has been doing pretty good and within the last two weeks, labs have been good. But now she is showing signs of jaundice. Does this always mean the cancer has returned or could it be something else. She has been on Vioxx for the last month and in rare cases could cause liver or kidney damage. Going to see oncologist this week but just wanted to be prepared before I take her in. She has never receive chemo or radation as surgeon and oncologist felt that they had gotten in all as it had not spread to lymph nodes and all margins were clear.

thanks once again belinda
