Our Dr. said 500mg of Vit.C was ok, he did not specify what excessive was. If your wife's platelet level gets too low she can get a transfusion. How often does she get Gemzar? When she gets a break the levels will raise.

When my husband does not get treated because of low blood levels , I keep in mind that the cancer cells are really getting beat up. We treat it as a 'free' day and we go out to lunch, since we already have a babysitter lined up.
