(pushed the wrong button on the PS above) How much does your wife weigh and what dose in milligrams of Gemzar is your wife receiving? It seems like a dose of around 100mg/lb of body weight is what my dad can stand without dropping his counts too low. Also, someone (maybe Renee?) has posted about her mom receiving a bag of water with her chemo each time...maybe if the Mrs. isn't eating or drinking well she would feel better if she received some extra IV fluid and vitamins while she is at the onc. getting chemo. Think of how cruddy we feel when we have the flu and can't eat or drink much, and how much stronger we feel just to be able to get rehydrated. It couldn't hurt, especially now that she has her portacath!
