MY MOTHER HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH FOURTH STAGE INOPERABLE BILE DUCT CANCER WHICH HAS SPREAD INTO LEFT/RIGHT LOBES OF LIVER, BLOOD VESSELS. THEY ARE CONDUCTING MORE TESTS TO SEE IF IT HAS SPREAD TO HER BONES. SHE IS DIABETIC, BUT OTHERWISE IN VERY GOOD HEALTH, WHICH MAKES THIS ALL THE HARDER TO BELIEVE. THEY HAVE GIVEN HER A LIFE EXPECTANCY OF 'SEVERAL' MONTHS AND TALKED TO HER ABOUT 'GEMSTAR'. HEARD THERE WERE NO CLINICAL TRIALS FOR THIS TYPE OF CANCER - TRUE? SHE LIVES IN A SMALL TOWN IN MICHIGAN AND HAS BEEN TO THE U OF M, BUT THEY TRANSFERRED HER BACK TO HOMETOWN ONCOLOGIST. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO?
