I haven't posted in a while. My mother who is an 18 months survior post whipple. Her cancer orginated in her bile duct outside her pancreas and was only 1 1/2 centimeters. Very small with no cancer in any of her lymph nodes that were removed. No cancer any where else either. She now has a mass of about 2 centimeters in her pancreas and she is now going to have her entire pancreas removed. I am worried what to expect after surgery. When she had the whipple she was in the hospital for 5 weeks. She had problems with her stomach not working and emptying. Could anyone please let me know how they did after removal of the pancreas. My mom is 75 years old and really a fighter. I really appreciate any information I can get!!!

You all are so wonderful!!! Debbie S.
