Dave's nerve block completely fixed the extreme back and shoulder pain also, and that is where he had the most pain. I don't know why our one nerve block helped both areas, but it did, mostly the back though as his stomach pain wasn't near as bad as the back and shoulder pain was (pain started in the shoulder and moved throught his entire back before the nerve block was performed.
