Dad's soul departed on Oct 31st morning in India. Dad was 71. Dx on March 28th 2001. My Mom, brother & sister were with him. He was alert till last hour. PC was on the head of pancreas & caused Jaundice since last three weeks. He drank orange juice in the morning like every other day and there was no indication that he will leave us today. He stayed in a small hospital which he helped built and he was trustee of the hospital & a high school. Even though, he was in bed for past One and half month, his mind was sharp and took part in discussions and used to give suggestions. I was with him for Four weeks and just returned on oct. 22nd. He took four Gemzar therapy and Fred's vites for first four months and stopped. I talked with him on Sunday 28th, he was weak but not in pain. Dahya Patel, his immortal soul left the body to be one with God on oct 31st 2001 at 0845.

He was the greatest man I ever knew, God bless all of you who are still fighting this disease, and thank you to all of you who have and posted on this board. All of those posts have helped me to prepare for what his final days and also helped me understand So many little things that no doctor will explain to you unless you ask for it.

Thank you for your support and lots of love to all of you Kash
