Tammy, remember back when you first joined this board and I sent you several articles and sites for you to read? Do you still have them? Because this is exactly what I had spoken to you about at that time...If these are tumors (mets) to her ovaries;which could very well be---I am not sure if it is any longer considered to be a 'cystadenoma' because a cyst would not mets---thus, this is probably the reason the Dr is saying it is now 'carcinoma'

I'll post a few sites at the end of this that you can go to and read more...also, I went to google.com and used ductectatic mucinous cystadenoma in the search and brought up 3 pgs of articles, try that also. When reading through these you will see that these are VERY difficult to dx properly...there are also a cpl of articles that say pts were mis dx and actually had an Islet Cell tumor. (those are the articles I had sent to you before) I would encourage you to print those articles and take them to your MIL's Dr so that perhaps he can do 'OTHER' testing (bloodwork) to help determine her actual dx and know how to proceed with the 'CORRECT' treatment.
