My husband, Morgan, had a whipple 17 months ago. He is 69 yrs. old and the cancer has spread to the liver -- where he has three tumors. He recently underwent a clinical trial in Ft. Worth that arrested the growth of the tumors for four months. When that proved ineffective, he was given an opportunity to participate in a Phase I Study at the CTRC in San Antonio. He just started treatment two weeks ago, and we will see if this offers any hope. He has just begun to take pain medication for the pain in his back -- first time he's needed medication since returning home from the hospital. We feel we've been very fortunate to have him reach this point of survival -- we still have good days -- we will go to San Antonio on Tuesday for a couple of weeks. Hopefully, that program is buying us some time.
