I expect you will likely have a huge load of bills that seem to get bounced back and forth between the hospitals, doctors, insurance company, etc. Many of them will need just a modest amount of added info to clear up. Others will seem intractible. Just keep very clear records on who you speak with and when you talk with them. Do your best to be kind with all the folks you talk with. Niceness is disarming to folks who are used to be screamed at. The human relations people with Joseph's employer may also be able to help in case you have problems. Everytime one of our employee has trouble with getting things paid, I have our HR person step in. She has resolved many thousands of dollars of claims in just a few phone calls.
