Lisa, so sorry your dad is having such a rough time. My dad was dx with inoperable PC in MAy. He went through 6weeks of radiation, along with a week of 5FU at the start, and another week of the same chemo at the end of the radiation. By the last few days, he was sicker than I have ever seen him. After several trips to the clinic to get rehydrated, he finally ended up in the hopsital for 5 days in order to get continuous fluids. He waited the three weeks before starting on the once a week chemo treatment of Gemzar and 5FU, and has tolerated that real well. He will be scanned again this week, because the CA-19 levels have increased, however, he has felt real well for the past two months of treatment.
