Ody: I had the whipple in 1997 and went 2 years without any problems...then one day and in one follow-up visit my world was shattered 'THE BEAST HAD RETURNED' I was pretty shook up and actually had to pull over off the highway and have myself a good cry!!! I though of how devestated my wife would be and cried for what I knew to be ahead.....but I am here today 1 1/2 years later STILL batteling this thing and my wife is right by my side. We take one day and one Dr. visit at a time and deal with it together!! Tomarrow I go to discuss more chemo (Gemzar) with my Onc. the people on this board have helped me greatly and I expect that we will all try to help you.

Just take one step at a time and enjoy each victory big or small for its all just HOPE and HOPE is our future......God Bless
