I am so sorry this has happened to your family, this is I think the most awful any person has to deal with. My mom has stage 4b, she was diagnosed in April. She has almost beat the statistics of the 3-6 month thing. As for your grandson Max, I'm not really sure how you should approach this with him. I have three children, my youngest is also four. He is very aware his nana has cancer and that it is bad. I just try to be as honest as I can be with my children at their level. They are so very close to my mom. I always say my four year old Nathan, is wise beyond his years with this. He knows when I am upset it is about his nana, and he will ask me about her cancer. I guess everyone has their own way to explain. This is a great place to come for information and support. I was so happy when I found this place, it has taught me so much about pc. I wish you and your family the best, and I will keep your whole family in my prayers and thoughts. Angel
