My mom had all of her pancreas taken out except for the tail. Her cancer was originally at the head of the pancreas. She went through chemo for 1 year. Two years after her whipple, her cancer is now back. She is starting chemo and radiation tomorrow. Does anyone know the life expectancy when PC returns after surgery. Is there much hope? I am terrified, not to mention the mental agony my mom is going through. Please advise. Thank you.
