Dear Trisha, It was such a comfort to hear from you even though you're over 2500 miles away. It's amazing how relationships can develop through such a painful experience, isn't it? I stayed away from the chat room for awhile because I really became saddened by the daily postings from people all over the country/world. It is such a painful subject for all of us isn't it? But, the flip side of the coin, is that this chat room also provides the opportunity for us to support one another through the most difficult of times. I have talked to so many loving and supportive people here - it amazes me how people will reach out to one another, even though they're suffering themselves. I wish we could all meet for coffee and bagels (do they do that in L.A.?) and really get to know one another. I am so sorry for you and all the rest of these "support" people - it's so hard isn't it? I can only place my faith and trust in the Lord to get me through this. I know that He holds the key to eternal life (which I truly believe in), and I also know that His time does not necessarily coincide with our time. It still does not help me to understand the why of all of this, but I do know that I will see my sister in Heaven, regardless of when she dies and I cannot begin to tell you how much comfort that gives me. I will pray for you and your family. Please write soon. The sister.
