Sure! There are at least 3 ways to sign on. With ALL THREE methods, the Listserv wants to verify that it has received the correct e-mail address. You MUST check your e-mail and reply to a message from the Listserv. When you get the message from the Listserv, follow them carefully (it's not hard). Be sure to turn off any automatic signatures/tag lines that you may have on your e-mail program. The two easiests ways to subscribe are to use internet to get directly to the Listserv computer. ONE: Go to http://www.medinfo.org/listserv.html?to_do=interact&listname=PANCREAS-ONC (Occasionally the JH computer adds spaces in the e-mail address. There are NO spaces in this address. If you "edit" and "copy" this address to the Location window of your browser program, be sure to check for spaces and take them out.) Once you get to that screen, there is a selection on the left side that says "JOIN the Panc-Onc List". Click on that. When you get to the next screen, fill in your first and last name and your e-mail address. Then press the send key. TWO, through the link at Oncolink. Go to http://www.oncolink.upenn.edu/forms/listserv3.html and then go down to "Pancreas-Onc" Click on the circle to the left of "subscribe to Pancreas-Onc", then go to the bottom of the screen and fill in e-mail information and send it. THREE: Send an e-mail directly to the Listserv. The e-mail address for the computer is LISTSERV @LISTSERV.ACOR.ORG Turn off any automatic signatures/tag lines that you may have in your e-mail program and leave the subject blank. If your program requires you to put something in the subject just type a period (like at the end of a sentence). The message should ONLY say: SUBSCRIBE PANCREAS-ONC JOHN JONES (You should replace the JOHN JONES with your name.) Again, remember that with all three methods, you will NOT get on the e-mail list until you respond to the computer's request for a reply so the computer can confirm that it has sent the e-mail to the appropriate address. If anybody has problems after trying these methods, you can post a message and I'll see what I can do. More often than not the problem is a typographical error, so be sure to check that carefully. I think you will find that it is also a great source of support for PC patients and their caregivers. Many people are very active on both this chat room and on the PC List. (Like me! 8^) )
