I just spoke to mom and she tells me that over the past few days my dad just can't seem to get enough to drink... he's always thirsty. My dad has stage IV inoperable PC dx Nov. 97. He's been on Gemzar for the past 3 months and is doing very well. My parents are planning to fly to the east coast this Wed. (we live in CA) to visit relatives. I'm worried that this excesive thirst may be do to diabetes? I remember many months back, before we knew my dad had cancer, that he was told he was borderline diabetic. Has anyone else experienced this (constant thirst)? I'm just wondering if my dad should be checked for diabetes BEFORE they leave for there 10 day vacation? Any advice would much appreciated. Thanks.
