Sherry, yes...it is quite common for the stents to become clogged thus causing a backup of bile, and infection...from what I have read on here they are normally changed every 3 mos unless he has the permanent metal stent.I would be making sure they are watching him for pancreatitis!!!too since he has had it in the past.If he has any ascites or edema that can also lower the blood pressure.

I wish you luck with the CT today.....let me know how Dad makes out!
