Hi Ruth, my dad just had this procedure done for the first time last week. It took several hours. The Dr. was very careful to be gentle. When she examined him this week, she was pleased that the areas responded well. He feels much better and is not nearly as swollen in the stomach area. I have a general question to anyone also... does ascites occur in all pc cases ? I know my dad's has mets to the stomach and peritoneum.
