The person who needs to decide whether treatment is 'worth it' is your
father. And if he needs more information to make that decision, then make
sure he gets it. Ask the oncologist who consulted on him to come back. Ask
to speak to the social worker and a nurse. I doubt if anyone but the
oncologist will be able to give you a time frame on how long your Dad has -
and it may be too early for s/he to tell you that. The thinks you can go to
help your Dad is make sure that he feels he has enough information to make
his decision and then support it - whatever he chooses. - Heather
