Dad is getting his stomach drained tomorrow morning. Will this hurt? Will the results give him IMMEDIATE relief? He's suffering so much. He was scheduled for this at the hospital today and they refused to do it, saying he needs blood plasma first, which they rescheduled for tomorrow to give him some(his blood is too thin). How much do they remove? How much weight will he lose?

QUICK UPDATE: Dad started Gemzar today after 5FU and radiation failed. He's very, very weak. We got a wheelchair today and a walker. He wonders if he'll have any relief soon and I'm hoping this procedure will do a little something good for once.
