Any one out there who has experienced low ferritin levels? This is a new development for me over the last two or three months. My first transfusion of Infed (iron) lasted just six weeks or so and then I needed another one. I have also recently experienced a return of periods which are abnormally heavy (lack of periods was one of my 'perks' since I started gemzar 20 months ago). I am wondering if this is a factor.

Prior to needing the Infed, I had been taking iron tablets three times daily which had kept my iron up until recently. My doctor tested me for intestinal blood loss which was negative. I also take Procrit related to low reds.
