My father retired from the newspaper and was a printer for 40+ years. He was a type-setter and during the earlier years of his career he used many chemicals and solvents to clean the printing equipment until so much of his work became computerized. My papa was in good health (was borderline diabetic, but controlled it with medication and good diet habits), NEVER smoked, was a heavy drinker in his younger years but had quit drinking some 30 years ago (not even a social drinker), ate VERY HEALTHY and walked 2 to 3 miles every day. Was diagnosed with PC May 12, 1997 died May 31, 1997. Hope this information helps. NVKnight
