We were told of my husband diagnoses over the phone...and no one really
address the question of time and we were told that Hopkins had little to no
success with this disease and that we should go elsewhere. We never saw an
oncoligist from there...So we frantically looked for options else where...put
together packets and mailed them all over the country asking for help. We
finally decided on Chemoembolization at Beth Israel....he was to return the
next month for the second half of the treatment.....He passed away within the
30 day time frame...I don't know if it was the result of the Chemo , which
was a risk factor, or not....but we tried and for the most part his quality
of life was good.
