That sounds alot like my Dad's history--his whipple was in November, right before thanksgiving. He was in the hospital for 18 days, and is doing very well now. It was certainly not an easy recovery, but I can tell you that within a week or two he looked already alot better than he did before the surgery. He can eat pretty much whatever he wants now, and is able to eat as much as I can at a sitting, although that took some time. He did have some trouble with gas at first, but I think they changed some of the meds to help that. Good luck to you!
