Tricia, dad had a bad problem with the ascities. I used to put dad in the
recliner and get his feet and legs higher than his heart. Also he too lasix.
Dads cancer went to his lungs and he got a lot of lung fluid from it. They
put in a chest tube to drain the fluid. Try to take the time to read the
book Final Gifts written by two hospice nurses it deals with the special
needs and awareness of the dieing. The jaundice could be caused from a
blockage, dad did that too. He got an awful itch along with the jaundice.
They usually put in a stint to get things draining properly again. They said
it was common and his urine turned orange. Anything I can help you with just
e-mail me or respond here.
