Sharon,First of all I suggest that you RUN and FAST to a new Oncologist!!!!! I am very confused-if your Dr knew you had the 'indolent' type of pc WHY would he put you on Gemzar? Gemzar attacks cancer cells that are fast growing cells.....if you have a slow growing cell type of tumor that makes no sense to me, and it is a well known fact that gemzar is NOT effective in these type of tumors.Have they told you what 'type' of pancreatic tumor you have? Indolent is not a 'type' of pancreatic cancer. Perhaps neuroendocrine? carcinoid? Islet Cell? Endocrine? What is the elevated hormone/s? Are you and have you been on Sandostatin? .....please fill me in.....Gail
