Had my operation on the tail of my pancreas and had my surgeon say he got it all out but that some stray cells might come back.I had 6 weeks of chemo ( gemzar) and other than my white and red cells came way down, They brought it up with injections. I am doing fine but now they feel I should have Radiation treatment to prevent any stray cells coming back However where they plan on doing the radiation the tail of the pancreas Is where my right kidney is, they feel I might lose the kidney They sat I could live without it. That and some of the other side effects make me feel I should not go for it. Can anyone offer any opinion on this??
