My Mother is going through the same thing. She had the Whipple Procedure done Wed, May 21st. She is doing okay but still in a lot of pain. There was some lymph node involvement in one of the five nodes removed during surgery. She was very healthy before she started experiencing pain, nausea, and lack of appetite back in November of 2000. She was dx March 15th. Her dr has not mentioned Chemo/Radiation treatment yet. Will he? Is this standard procedure to do this after the WP? When is a reasonable time to expect treatment to begin for her? I'm just anxious to know what to tell my Father as far as demanding to know what the next step for her is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...Susan
