Bill, I am sorry about your friend. Her dr. should get her under a good
oncologist who has treated bile duct cancer. There are chemos that have been
quite effective for some. Gemcitibine(Gemzar), is one that I am more
familiar with. Also there are a lot of trials your friend may want to try.
There is a lady on the Pancreas Cancer Board at JH that was on the Gemzar
since 1997. Her oncologist just switched her to a new chemo because Gemzar
was no longer working for her. Bill, PC and BD cancers are very familiar and
I don't want to mislead you either they are both very deadly and spread ever
so fast. Hopefully some treatments can buy your friend more time. It
doesn't always buy more quality time but sometimes it does. Hopefully the
oncologist can lay all the cards out for a decision. Wishing your friend the
