Heather, thank you for your quick and encouraging response! Obviously any time someone mentions the big 'C' word, the fear level rises to the top. Not knowing what to expect is the most difficult when going thru something like this. My sister is 63, good health tho she did have a double mascectomy about 13+ years ago. She said she read that this type of cancer usually strikes Asian people, is this true, she is not Asian, and was wondering about that...Lillie responded also and her message was encouraging as well, at least knowing how long the surgery lasts, how long it may take to recover, the fact that you can still live a normal life is the most important aspect. I mean...what's the purpose of going thru all of this if at the end there is no quality of life! Thank you so much for your encouragement!
