Please forgive me if I have missed something from an earlier post....how long ago did these other people you mentioned have chemo and radiation? The reason I ask is that lots of advances have been made in those fields in the last few years....I am not at all saying that no one has side effects anymore, but the percentage who do is down. All I know for sure is that my mom has been on chemo once a week for 3 weeks so far.....her only side effects are swelling in the ankles, and she is extra tired on Thursdays (her treatment is on Mondays) she gets Gemzar and Taxotere. I guess my comment is that I hate to see her not even try the options, but of course that is easy for me to say, it is not me that has to do it. I do know that my mom's oncologist has said all along that my mom can stop any time she wants, or if she ever feels the side effects aren't worth the potential help...Blessings to you and your family.
