Surgery ended around 4:30p. Dr. wasn't able to remove all the tumor it is what he called a pusher. It had pushed up against the main artery and attatched itself to it. He did remove the gallbladder, build new bile ducts and bypass the other ones and bypass the affected intestine. I'm not sure what else was done at this point. The tumor was 4cm. Dr. wants her to do radiation to extend life approximately 2-3 years. She was pretty adamant about not wanting to do chemo or radiation. She hasn't seen anyone have good results with either treatment and doesn't want to go through what she watched her husband and father go through. What are the options to radiation? How accurate are these time frames? Tons of questions are running around in my mind. How do you make these decisions?????
