Jessica, I don't know which part of the country you live in, but I did contact the University of Wi. Madison a couple of days ago concerning their participation in the Endostatin trial. The nurse I spoke with said the current trial is filled (I think we all know that by now) but they might be expanding the trial in the very near future. I also questioned her about another angiogenesis inhibitor drug that is made by the same company that makes Endostatin (EntreMed). The drug is called Panzem and currently the UW Madison clinic is enrolling for patients with metastatic prostrate cancer only. I was wondering whether they had plans to expand this trial, but the nurse was unaware of expansion at this point.

The 'Cancer Warrior' broadcast on PBS will be shown in my area Thurs. evening, so I have not seen it yet, but I have read opinions from people that have. Remember, the current trial is phase I dose escalating, so even though some patients are not benefiting, the dose is low. Once the increased dosage data is available, I am quite sure we will see better effeciacy. Keep your fingers crossed.

Take care. JOe
