I have not been on this web page for a while and thought it was time to logon. My Dad was diagnosed with PC in April, 1997. Initially, he went on the Kushi macrobiotic diet. This didn't last long because he didn't really like the food and he lost too much weight. He tried the 9-NC chemotherapy last summer, but his tumor grew. After he stopped taking 9-NC, his doctor began treating him with GEMZAR. Dad has been on GEMZAR for months and his tumor has not grown. He gained back all the weight he had lost and is still working. (He was working part time before the PC diagnosis and is continuing to work part time.) His appetite isn't always great, so he drinks Ensure to get vitamins and keep up his weight. He is on pain medication and gets tired pretty easily which makes him mad. He enjoyed Christmas with all of his children and grandchildren. We took the kids to the McDonald's playland today and we all had a wonderful time. I hope you all have a wonderful new year!
