Milo: Rich was dxed with Stage 3 PC in December 1999 and had a bilary duct bypass on 12/7. He started chemo in 1/00. He had 5FU which stopped the tumor until June 2000 until it showed slight growth. He then had Gemzar/Cisplatin which shrunk the tumor. In 10/2000 a catscan and EUS showed that it had not yet shrunk away from the portal vein so he was given a six to eight week course of radiation with chemo (taxitire) which ended in 12/2000. They were going to wait in Jan/Feb to see if the radiation had caused the tumor to further shrink and give him one more course of radiation before evaluating him further for a whipple. However, he began experiencing abdominal pain/ascites the first week of Jan/01. New Years Eve he was fine - during the last three weeks there has been a rapid deterioration. Thanks for your prayers. CS
