Martha, I am very interested in the response you get from Ross Abrams. My father is 61 and in the same boat as your mother. He has been on a respirator for 3 weeks now following his modified-Whipple procedure. They hoped to have him off of that in a few days. The surgeon recommends a round of chemo. I would like to have some information for my dad when they propose the treatment to him. Given his lengthy and very difficult recovery from this surgery, I do not expect him to consent to chemo. I need to prepare myself and my family (and Dad) regarding what to expect. I really, really appreciate any info I can get!! Thank you, thank you! Keir
