Hello,

I am 3 weeks post-op distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy. Tumor was 1.5 cm stage 1A no spread to lymph nodes or other organs. I had an outstanding surgeon with 43 years experience and an excellent reputation. I am 63 fit and active with an excellent recovery. I was up and walking the same day of surgery and continued to walk everyday. 2 weeks post op I was walking 3 miles/day again. Surgery on a Monday and home by that Thursday morning. Naturally it was painful to move around post op but every day the pain improved with meds. When I went home I was able to manage my pain with just Tylenol for the first week. Meeting with the oncologist today to discuss treatment plan. Any questions feel free to contact me. Good luck.
