Hi Barbara I hope your recovery is short but Iíll be honest mine has been VERY long. Iím 5 years post whipple. It took 4 years and lots of trial and error to gain the weight back. I still am fatigued from mild to severe. I live with lots of abdominal and rectal pain due to the chronic diarrhea that I developed after surgery and it never got better. Thereís more but I wonít list it. Thatís just my experience and you may do much better.

The best advice I can give is let your body do what it needs to so if youíre tired rest etc. after the blood transfusion you may want to consider iron infusions if your iron counts drop.

Iím glad youíve made it this far. Hang in there. It does get better maybe just not when you want it to.
