I just had this procedure at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester two weeks ago (lathroscopic). I am a 44 year old in good health. I was up and walking a bit the day of the surgery, and able to do about 2-3000 steps a day before leaving the hospital. Worse pain was, and still is, at night. Today is my first day with no narcotics and I'm doing well. I spend 8 days in the hospital because of the pain.

I ran about 20 miles a week prior to surgery, right now I get winded easily. There is a month of restrictions for activities. Gets a little better each day. Good luck!
