Thanks for the responses. Paul, I will keep you posted. I am hesitant to have surgery at this time and plan on monitoring (M.D.'s recommendation) by insisting on an MRI every six months. I have read about 'pancreas cyst ablation' and wonder whether this is an option for those of us whose option is to 'monitor'. I count myself as lucky inasmuch as the cyst was detected incidentally before it got out of hand. Very thankful for the response regarding the risks of the 'whipple', I sincerely hope all gets better for you. Again, this is an invaluable resource, glad I found it.
