Medical ICU doc had neurologist in several times & the response is that all the tests are clear which is why I want a neuropsych consult. Things are being missed cognitively. MIL was taken off meds that could have added to this confusion in January. Her pain meds are OTC. The neurologist was informed that prior to this surgery she was a vibrant & active woman who lived independently and took care of herself. I have referred several of my clients to neuropsychiatrists for EPS vs Parkinsonian like side effects vs onset of Parkinson's & have found this to be beneficial. At this point, one more consult can't hurt.
