A few thoughts...

Does she have a primary care doctor that knows her well? Or an oncologist that knows her well? If she had another doctor that knows her, and could come to see her and give their opinion, that can sway the surgical team to consider more assistance/consults. It is odd to me that the surgeons wont call a neurology consult. Usually surgeons HATE when surgeries have so many complications post-op and they are eager to get help from medical specialists to try to improve things.
